Rose Ginther

Associate Dean/Associate Professor, MacEwan University, Canada

Rose Ginther BA, MA Rose Ginther is Associate Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Communications at MacEwan University in Edmonton. After a successful and fulfilling career in arts management, Rose has also had a long career as a university professor, with almost 30 years of teaching. Her commitment to teaching excellence was rewarded with MacEwan’s Distinguished Teaching Award in February, 2002 and again in 2015. Over the years, Rose’s research interests have focused on arts and cultural organizations and their ability to fulfill their organizational capacity; the ways in which technology has impacted the sector; the importance of experiential learning in university education and; most recently, the establishment of the MacEwan university record label, Bent River Records. Associate Dean for the Faculty of Fine Arts and Communications since January 2018, Rose was recently reappointed for another three years. In this position, Rose plays a key role in more closely connecting the university with its diverse communities and working with students and faculty in all programs to help them achieve their aims.
