Lea Jakob studied International Cultural and Business Sciences in Passau, Parma and Perugia. She completed a Master of Arts in Management & Entrepreneurship at the Leuphana University and participated in the Summer School on Arts Management at the Aalto University in Helsinki. During her studies, she did research on the role of Opera Festivals in regional marketing and on Corporate Cultural Responsibility.
Since 2015 she is a project manager and project coordinator for the "Büro für internationale Kulturprojekte" (Office for international cultural projects). One of her main tasks is the Cuban-European Youth Academy, designing and implementing exchange and formation programs for young musicians.
In 2019 she took part in the Winter School „Brokering Intercultural Exchange within Societies“. She recently started her PhD on the role of artists and international cooperations in Cuba’s transformation process. Since 2021, she is also lecturer at the Hochschule Heilbronn and Leuphana University.
