Juha Iso-Aho

Lecturer at Humak University of Applied Sciences

Juha Iso-Aho, M.A., has been a lecturer in the department of Cultural Management at Humak University of Applied Sciences in Finland since the year 2000. Both before and since he began teaching, he has worked as executive manager and artistic director at a number of theatre and music festivals in Finland. During recent years he has chiefly worked as project manager and expert in various regional, national and international development projects dealing with cultural tourism, festival and event management and creative economy. These projects include EDUCRO – Creating New Customer Value through Cross-border Co-operation, which was a Finnish-Russian development project during years 2019 – 2022. One of Iso-Aho´s most recent fields of research and teaching is volunteer management. He has authored and co-authored several articles and books on festival management cultural tourism and related issues.
