Flora Maravalhas

PhD student, University of Lisbon/ National Plan for the Arts, Portugal

Flora Maravalhas has a BA degree in Letters and a MA degree in Public Management both from the University of Brasília. She has worked for 10 years as a cultural analyst at the Brazilian Institute of Museums, where she held different leadership positions. Flora has published articles in the field of museums, such as “Evaluating the impact of the More Museums public notice in creating new museums in small Brazilian municipalities: A difference in differences analysis” and “Socioeconomic and demographic factors associated with the existence of museums in Brazilian municipalities: an application of the linear regression model”. She is currently a PhD student in Public Administration and Public Policy at the University of Lisbon and a researcher at the National Plan for the Arts, an initiative of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education from Portugal, aimed at promoting social transformations through education, arts, and heritage.
